The Diagnodent is the greatest advance in dental diagnostics since
the x-ray. The Laser Scanner can detect new cavities years before any
other
means
of
cavity detection. The Laser Scanner shines a harmless laser beam into
the tooth. If a tiny cavity is detected, it is reflected back to
the sensor and registered. The sensor also provides information about
how
extensive the decay is in your teeth. The result is smaller cavities = smaller fillings.

In
order to achieve and maintain oral health, Dr. Gibree believes

uses a pinpoint laser beam to find even the smallest cavities. 
Digital
x-rays not only protect your health by using a lower dose of radiation
than conventional x-rays. There are no chemicals used in processing the
films so our environment is also protected. The digital x-ray also allows
Dr. Gibree to find smaller lesions and to treat them while they are small.
The digital x-ray is read on the computer screen and can be enhanced
to show the finest details. 
You
may wonder why Dr. Gibree will be taking pictures of your smile and your
teeth with a digital camera. These pictures will be used to explain all
aspects of your dental care with you to make sure that you fully understand
his treatment recommendation.
